Russell will be appearing as Britt Craig in Jason Robert Brown's Tony Award Winning Musical, Parade at this year's Edinburgh Festival.
 The show runs from 5th-28th August at Southside. The musical is based on the seminal trial of Leo Frank in 1913 Atlanta, Georgia. The murder of a young girl ignites dormant prejudice as a media frenzy incites a community to revenge. Russell Whitehead is a versatile singer and actor. Since graduating from the Royal Academy of Music he has played leading roles in The Wild Party, 16 Gobs, Jesus Christ Superstar and Listen to my Heart. Most recently Russell reached the final of the prestigious BBC Radio 2 Voice of Musical Theatre Contest 2005 in Cardiff.
