14/10/2006: "Christmas in New York - the Notes team are back."

On Sunday 10th December at the Lyric Theatre
Following Not(es) from New York, the series continues with Christmas in New York, a seasonally inspired celebration of contemporary composers.

Featuring a selection of seasonal songs by acclaimed American composers including Alan Menken, Andrew Lippa, Craig Carnelia, David Friedman, Frank Wildhorn and Jason Robert Brown, Christmas in New York will also include the world première of a commissioned song by British composer Grant Olding, whose work was previously profiled in Not(es) from New York. Charles Miller's song Christmas in New York provides the title for the show and some familiar tunes are interspersed along the way.

Musical theatre favourite Josie Walker makes a long overdue return to the West End in Christmas in New York alongside series regulars Julie Atherton and Paul Spicer who are joined by Cassidy Janson, James Gillan and Oliver Tompsett from the UK première of Wicked, Jon Robyns and Clare Foster from Avenue Q ,Sophia Ragavelas who is currently playing Fantine in Les Misérables and Melanie La Barrie, who originated the role of Mrs Corry in the première of Mary Poppins .

Musical accompaniment provided by Mark Collins at the piano.
